The study of the subject of personal illusion is perhaps one of the most important undertakings a person can do. Glamour, A World Problem, invites us to do so with the understanding that as a single person frees him or herself from illusion and glamour, s/he assists in the freeing of humanity from the same. Glamour, the emotional level of illusion, feeds separateness, is the source of greed, and is a form of ignorance. We are usually unaware of how much we live our illusions and their daily ramifications. Equally, we find ourselves blindly held hostage by glamours and illusions as they condition the world. As we come to clear ourselves, through resonance we clear some of the same aspects of glamour and illusion in the world.
This is also a study of the Raja Yoga system of self-actualization and, in some measure, the Rules of White Magic.

Soul’s work is to change whatever it can and reveal the Divine.
The Seven Laws of the Soul are part of the on-going creative process
of consciousness. These Laws of the Soul can be seen in our lives,
in the world, and in the lighted processes put in motion by people
of consciousness. This is magic in the world. Our mission, then,
should we chose to accept it, is to grow, and grow the light that
is in us, to be “a lamp unto ourselves” as the Buddha instructed,
to be the “light of the world” as Christ told us, and to truly
understand as the Sutras state “that all exists for the sake of
the soul.”

"If you are a lover of the ageless wisdom,
you will love this book.
The author takes her 20-plus
years of contemplation, study,
and experience, synthesizes
it, and introduces fresh and
original thinking on the nature
and expression of the Soul.
She takes
the Seven Laws of the Soul
as given by Alice Bailey in
Esoteric Psychology, Vol II,
and illuminates them by relating
them to the Seven Rays, the Eight Beatitude of Jesus the Christ,
the Eightfold Path of the Buddha, and the Eight Means of Raja
Yoga. In addition, she describes the development of chakra function
in a way I have never encountered before, and it makes sense.
However,
for me, the great and totally
original contribution of this
book is her insight about and
description of the ways the Seven Rays manifest differently
through all the levels of consciousness. She shows how each
Ray expresses through the masses and aspirants, through disciples,
and through initiates. When I first heard of this concept during
an astrology reading with Donna a few years ago, I was able
to understand my own Ray makeup in a whole new and empowering
way. In Magic in the World, Donna has created tables that lead
the way to understanding each Ray in a new and deeper way. It
is one of those breakthroughs that, once elucidated, seem so
obvious we can’t conceive of never having known it before.
The chapter on The Law of Repulse
and its connection with Ray
One is another highlight of
the book. Most of us struggle
mightily with Ray One when
in shows up in our lives. After
reading Ch. 5, we may well
handle such energies in ourselves
and others much better...
This
book is a gem of insight and
originality, a must-have on
my bookshelf for frequent reference."

Esoteric astrology and Astrology Illumined offer more levels of meaning for every factor in astrology. Esoteric astrology turns the spiral from mundane, reactive, and personal to self-aware, responsive, and spiritual.
A picture is worth a thousand words and astrology is a symbolic language. The authors have combined pictures, illustrations, and tabulations together with prose to convey astrology as no other book has done before.
This is a one-of-a-kind astrology book written by teachers, designed to meet multiple learning styles and bridge all levels of astrology. In this way the reader will gain insight into his or her psycho-spiritual development.

Donna Mitchell-Moniak from Boston, MA and Sara Traub from Toronto, Ontario are long-time co-workers and teachers of the spiritual sciences.
They have both been teaching about the ways of consciousness for more than two decades. Their work is to bring practical application of spiritual principles into everyday life. Donna is the founder of Spirit Fire Meditative Retreat Center in Leyden, Massachusetts.
Astrology Illumined is for:
the beginner to astrology: giving all the tools needed to enter the fullness of both traditional and esoteric astrology;
the practicing astrologer who wants to expand his or her work into esoteric astrology;
the spiritually minded person. Often the more conscious person’s chart cannot be read strictly from the traditional point of view and must include an esoteric interpretation. Astrology Illumined gives this level of meaning.
