This weekend at Spirit Fire will feature yoga-based methods addressing pelvic health concerns and healing pelvic floor dysfunction.
The retreat is open to women with interest in pelvic health. And it is specifically designed towards those with pelvic pain, issues with bowel, bladder, or sexual function, or are just curious about the mind-body connection. Casie and Dustienne will include daily in-depth instructions in physical yoga postures as well as a variety of breathing techniques and meditations specifically to benefit the pelvic floor. In an effort to share their passion of holistic healthcare they will also lead educational discussions on topics including pelvic floor anatomy and physiology, the mind/body connection related to pelvic pain, the energetic connections to the pelvic floor, and the main purpose of the retreat; the importance of self-care and inner-work.

Casie Danenhauer is a Doctor of Physical Therapy (PT), yoga instructor, and owner of Enlighten PT: Conscious Care for Pelvic Health in Santa Monica, CA. She provides a unique and holistic path towards healing for her clients using a balance between western science and an integrative consideration of the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual systems. She leads Yoga for Pelvic Health workshops and retreats throughout the country. Dustienne’s mission as a board certified women’s health physical therapist and Kripalu-certified yoga teacher is to ease that burden. With compassion and a creative approach, she empowers people to move mindfully and with ease. Dustienne’s video series, using yoga to relieve pelvic pain and increase bladder control, helps bring her techniques and practices to the homes of people around the world.
As a former professional dancer, Dustienne’s love of movement has been ever-present in her life. She passionately believes that the integration of physical therapy and yoga helps individuals navigate through pelvic pain and incontinence to live a healthy and pain-free life.
