At particular junctures on the Path, we are asked to understand something in ways that we could not before. With that moment and its set of circumstances, our usual frames of reference, desire, and planned outcomes will probably need revision and release. In their place new possibilities will arise with new outcomes to work towards, and we might see that the now revealed had been there waiting. I believe this is the juncture humanity is at within its self.

We are being asked to refocus on that which has always been here, but now is to be fully engaged. Wellness in all ways, satiety of heart and mind, respect and shared responsiveness to this amazing sacred planet, these call for our focus instead of war, fear, and disease of body and soul. Focusing on positive and greater wholeness always addresses the nefarious ills of the world such as poverty in all its forms, economic, nutritional, ethical, and spiritual, and apathy. Well-being is close at hand for all, human and non-human, as we/if we chose to work together for the well-being of all. Our Mother Earth is one life form with many forms of life within Her. She, like our body made in her image, is one comprehensive whole with many internal and inter-dependent parts.

Our bones are her mountains, our blood vessels her rivers and streams. Our heart is like the ocean, the great wave-action pumping organ that creates all weather and thus the growing seasons of the planet. Our organs are like the great forests. Each distills that which passes through and reclaims the nutrients, then passes those on in a usable form. For the forests that is in the forms of oxygen, fruit and nuts, and an abundance of animal and insect life. In our body the same process is lived as vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and more are assimilated and processed through liver, intestines, kidneys, and bladders. As a result, our body thrives as does any primal forest of the world. Our hair is the grass, and our migrating blood cells or macrophages charging to envelope a virus cell are like migrating herds, flocks, schools, and swarms of life on our planet home.

Humanity is at the awakening point of its relatedness, yes with one another, yes with the parts of our inner self, and yes to our Mother. The Native people of the world and the feminine earth-based cultures throughout history have known this, as does every organic farmer or back yard gardener. We are one, our planet is one. We are inter-connected and dependent upon one another. The trees depend on us to help them breathe sunlight through an unpolluted sky, and we depend upon the trees and grasses to produce the oxygen that keeps us alive. Without trees weather systems collapse. They not only hold moisture in the soil and prevent erosion, they create shade and temper the sun’s rays, thus cool and humidify environments decreasing aridity. To prevent desertification, plant trees. This example of inter-connectedness is only one of hundreds that are obvious, noticeable, and being obvious mean they are necessary to all life on our jewel-like planet.

And our Earth is that, precious and beautiful. A jewel to live on, to look at daily out our windows and to adorn our home with, which we do with flowers, plants, paintings of natural settings, wooden furniture, and cotton or wool rugs. We paint our walls with colors that sooth us because they are in nature, thus soothing to our energy bodies.

Brothers and sisters, join me today in a pledge to renew your respect of Life, all life on this planet: fellow human beings, fellow animals of all kinds, fellow plant life of every shape and size, elder brother mountains, elder sister rivers and streams, and mother oceans. There is no tomorrow without each today. There is no planet Earth without each and every part of Her alive and well. Please be part of Her wellness and ensure the wellness of yourself, your family, your grandchildren and their children. Please do what you can to take care of others of all shapes and sizes because it is not only the right thing to do, it is the only thing to do. You and I have the power. Feel it in your heart.
